This is strictly enforced for everyone's safety.

    • You cannot meet us at the launch due to outfitter rules.

    • We return around 12:00-1:00 PM CST.

  6. 🐾 No Dogs Allowed:
We’ll be entering a State Natural Area and want to minimize disruption to local wildlife.

  7. 🥪 Bring Lunch & Snacks:
We’ll be out for 4-5 hours, so come prepared to stay fueled and energized!

🌊 Hike After Paddle: What to Expect

Our paddle destination is Burgess Falls, located on a man-controlled lake. Water levels vary throughout the year and may require a hike after paddling, depending on conditions.

  • May–June: Paddle all the way to the falls is usually possible.

  • Late June–August: Water begins to lower; short hike may be required.

  • September–March/April: A hike is required. Length increases as levels drop.

    • Expect ¼ to ½ mile hikes, often over rocks, steep slopes, or muddy paths.

    • Hikes may involve water crossings, fallen trees, or slippery terrain.

🥾 Hikes are beginner-friendly, and we take our time — this is a no-rush experience! However, please make sure everyone in your group is prepared and physically able to complete the hike.
